We’re delighted to share that we are celebrating a milestone anniversary this month.
On 25th August, Sarah and I will have been providing optometric services from our Woodseats practice for 25 years, and we planning to celebrate with an offer for patients and a BBQ party for our team.
We’re very grateful to the people of Woodseats and the surrounding areas who have supported us for a quarter of a century. We’re going to show our gratitude by giving the first 25 people to book an eyecare appointment at both Woodseats and Crosspool Practices for the 25th of August onwards a £25 discount off eyewear and sunglasses.
We’ll also be hosting a BBQ to celebrate the anniversary with the teams from both practices, including Rachel Ireson who worked for the previous optometrist and is also celebrating 25 years at Woodseats along with us!
Sarah and I met while we were studying optometry in Manchester in 1988. I moved to Sheffield after graduating and we got married in 1994. We bought the practice from a Mr Eggington in 1996 and we think that there has been an optometry practice on the current Alex Gage site at 857 Chesterfield Road, Woodseats since the 1950s.
I moved around a lot growing up, but I have lived in Sheffield longer than anywhere else. It’s a great city and we love to go for long walks in the Peaks.
