We’re delighted to welcome Karen Jones, the former PA to the Chair of Sheffield Health & Social Care to our team.
Karen, who lives close to the Crosspool practice and is joining us as an optical assistant in both practices, said: “I saw an advert for the position in the window, came for an interview, was overwhelmed with the friendliness of the team and was delighted to accept the job.”
Of the appointment, Alex said: “Karen benefits from 26 years of NHS experience in roles from Estate Services to Marketing and Comms and is already proving to be a valuable addition to the team.”
Karen works with team members at both practices and her day to day tasks include manning the reception desk, dispensing glasses, selling frames, contact lens sales and assisting customers.
When she’s not working, Karen, who lives with husband Lee and children Alex and Ella, enjoys walking the family’s Border Terrier Jack Russell cross, Ted in the woods around Sheffield and crafting with her daughter.
Karen concluded: “I’m looking forward to learning every aspect of the role and look forward to building a good relationship with our customers.”
