A new study has found that vitamin D may be linked to a lower risk of developing certain eye conditions in young women. The research found that women with higher levels of vitamin D had a lower risk of early age-related macular degeneration.
Alex Gage recommends a diet rich in vitamin D, including oily fish, eggs and fortified foods. Exposure to sunlight (with appropriate eye protection) is also important for vitamin D synthesis.
