Sheffield optometrist’s Tour de Vision

As excitement rises in anticipation of Yorkshire hosting Le Grand Départ for the Tour de France in 2014, a Sheffield optometrist has reported an increase in sales of cycling lenses and cycling glasses.

Alex Gage said: “There is a real buzz in the air regarding the start of the Tour next year and, not only are we seeing more cyclists out on the roads, but they are taking heed of optometrists’ advice and protecting their eyes both from airborne debris and insects and harmful UV Rays. You can even fit prescription lenses in cycling glasses so there’s no need to compromise your vision when you’re enjoying a ride in the Peaks.”
