Covid-19 Policy

Updated: May 19, 2022

We are taking measures to help protect staff and public during this unprecedented time.

We aim to have a 15-minute gap between appointments to reduce contact between patients and visitors. We will sanitise surfaces between appointments, with antibacterial wipes.

We ask that patients do not attend early to reduce time in our waiting area. We are happy to message patients if they want to stay in their car until they are seen. We request that other family members do not attend.

We will review all appointments and recommend anyone in at risk groups to postpone their appointment.

All visitors will be asked to use hand sanitiser on entering the practice.

We strongly recommend OCT (Woodseats) scan or Optomap (Crosspool) to reduce face to face contact.

Our comprehensive eye exam (including OCT or Optomap) fee is £55 or £25 for those entitled to NHS eye exam.

We ask that any frames touched are left on the counter, staff will then clean before returning to the display for the next patient.

We are planning to arrange home delivery for our existing Purple Plan contact lens patients to reduce the need to attend the practice. Those patients not on our scheme will need to contact us to see what can be done.

We may need to reduce our opening hours if staff need to self-isolate during this time. We will update our opening hours on google and phone message so please check before attending the practice.

We thank you for your cooperation and hope to be back to normal soon.
